IUPD responded to a report of fondling Oct. 6 at Sembower Recreational Sports Fields Complex, the IU recreational sports field complex located at 1200 N. Fee Lane.

IU defines "fondling" as the touching of the private body parts of another person without consent.

IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba said in an email an IU student reported being inappropriately touched by another player during an intramural soccer game.

Skibba said the victim has chosen not to pursue charges. The case has been referred to university officials for review.

Nine sexual batteries and nine rapes have been reported to IUPD since Aug. 21, according to the IUPD crime log.

A list of resources is available here if you or someone you know has experienced sexual harassment or abuse.

More information on the period commonly known as the “Red Zone” can be found here.
