Party and Caucus News
Hoosier Freedom Tour Comes to Bloomington
The chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, Mike Schmuhl, visited us at your MCDP Headquarters as a part of his Hoosier Freedom Tour around the state. He was joined by our House District 62 candidate, Thomas Horrocks, for their discussion with fellow Democrats and members of the community.
Special thanks to Chairman Schmuhl for visiting Bloomington!
MCDP Voter Protection Program
Voter protection is more important than ever this year, with the national and state parties emphasizing preparation. The MCDP Voter Protection Program (VPP) is now staffing during early voting to give volunteers experience and to alert us to potential issues.
As we prepare, we ask interested VPP volunteers to choose hours (see early voting hours available) according to your own schedules between now and Election Day. Contact Dee Owens at msdeeowens@gmail.com for training materials, credentials, and scheduling. Please also provide available hours for Election Day. There will be a brief volunteer Zoom session later in October; sign up now for training.
Thank you for helping keep our elections safe and secure — our local, state, and national candidates are counting on Monroe County to put them over the top!
Electioneers Wanted!
Are you interested in sporting signs for your favorite Democratic candidates outside polling locations on Election Day? You’ll be assisting voters if they have any questions and reporting any suspicious behavior/voter suppression to your MCDP.
Please fill out this quick form to sign up. There are three shifts: 6-10am, 10am-2pm, and 2-6pm.
Poll Workers Needed!
With another election creeping our way, you know what that means!
We’re once again seeking volunteers to help run what makes our democracy stand—the polls!
This is a paid opportunity. Please contact mcdempollrecruiter@gmail.com if interested.
