Bloomingtonians along with most Hoosiers can expect the first snow of this winter Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
After a rainy morning Wednesday, showers will start back up again around 10 p.m. to around 2 a.m. Thursday. Scattered snow showers are expected afterward. The NWS says this could produce slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
On Thursday, the NWS predicts snow showers will come in before 5 p.m., with temperatures steady at around 34 degrees. Snow accumulation is projected to be less than 1 inch. Winds of about 15 mph are expected with gusts up to around 30 mph throughout the day.
More snow, potentially mixed with rain, is expected before 7 p.m., with additional snowfall coming in between 7 p.m. Thursday and 4 a.m. Friday.
