Indiana football will be without redshirt sophomore starting left guard Drew Evans for the remainder of the season.

Evans suffered an Achilles injury during practice this week, the Hoosiers announced via X.

Indiana’s offensive line is now down a pair of starters, as seventh-year senior Nick Kidwell sustained a season-ending knee injury during fall camp.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 306-pound Evans started all nine games for the Hoosiers before his injury. He excelled in pass protection, earning an 85.3 pass block grade from Pro Football Focus while allowing no sacks or quarterback hits. He gave up just three total pressures across 282 passing snaps.

Indiana (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) hosts Michigan (5-4, 3-3 Big Ten) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday inside Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
