Indiana women’s basketball is unranked in The Associated Press top 25 poll released Monday for the first time since Jan. 21, 2019. The Hoosiers received just three points in the poll.
The Hoosiers fell to Harvard University by 4 points on Nov. 6, despite racking up 27 turnovers. But after the game, Indiana head coach Teri Moren said nobody is pressing the proverbial panic button.
Moren also reiterated that this season’s squad is not the same as last year’s, explaining it will take time for the team to “figure some things out.”
Over the Hoosiers’ first two games, junior guard Yarden Garzon is averaging 18 points while junior forward Lilly Meister is scoring 16.5 per game. The Cream and Crimson are shooting 21.1% from 3-point range while going 43.1% from the field.
Indiana (1-1) returns to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Butler University at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The contest will stream on FloHoops.
