Four pedestrians, including two IU students, were struck by a car Saturday night at the corner of East 17th Street and Eagleson Avenue just east of Bill Armstrong Stadium.
All four were transported to the hospital. Three sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and one is in critical but stable condition, according to IU Police Department Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba. Officers responded to the accident at 11:40 p.m., Skibba wrote in an email. The vehicle was traveling westbound on 17th Street when it struck the four pedestrians in the roadway. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
There is no evidence of the driver being under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident, Skibba said.
