Sexual battery reported at Memorial Stadium

A sexual battery that occurred Nov. 9 at Memorial Stadium was reported to the IU Police Department on Tuesday. 

IU’s Title IX Office reported the incident to IUPD. It was not reported by the individuals involved. The case has been sent to university officials for review. 

IU’s definition of sexual battery, based on the Indiana Criminal Code, includes the nonconsensual touching of another person’s private body parts with intent to arouse or satisfy the person's own sexual desires or the sexual desires of another person. 

There have been 13 cases of sexual battery reported to IUPD since Aug. 21, according to the IUPD crime log.
