Indiana volleyball libero Ramsey Gary has entered the transfer portal, according to an Indiana Athletics spokesperson.
Gary is coming off her sophomore season, during which she earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors, which she also did during her freshman season. She also made the AVCA Midwest All-Region team this season.
The Pendleton, Indiana, native led the Hoosiers with 438 digs (4.06 per set) and was one of three Big Ten players to finish their season with at least four digs per set. She was second on the team with 101 assists (0.94 per set) in the 2024 season.
During her freshman season, Gary led the Big Ten and tied for second among freshmen in the NCAA with 530 digs, breaking Indiana’ single season freshman and all-time single season digs record.
Gary started in all 63 of Indiana’s games over the past two seasons as the Hoosiers finished 21-12 and 15-15, respectively.
Gary played club volleyball for Munciana, winning the 2022 and 2023 AAU 18U Open National Championship. She was a three-time All-American with her club.
Indiana just signed its highest-ranked high school recruiting class, which is ranked No. 14 in the country by PrepDig, on Dec. 18 and will now look to replace one of its top players ahead of head coach Steve Aird’s eighth season at the helm.
