A rape at Harper Hall in the Foster Quadrangle from mid-November was reported to the IU Police Department on Monday. It’s the 24th reported rape since Aug. 21.
IU’s Title IX Office reported the incident, IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba wrote in an email. The individual involved did not report it to campus police. The case was referred to university officials for review.
IU defines rape as the nonconsensual penetration of the private body parts by an object or body part of another person or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person.
