IU Police Department received a report of rape from the Title IX Office on Nov. 18 regarding a student who had been sexually assaulted Nov. 17 at Read Hall, IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba wrote in an email.
The incident was not reported to IUPD by the individual involved and is being referred to university officials for review, she wrote.
Communications Manager Mark Keck wrote in an email that IUPD received a separate report from the Title IX Office on Nov. 20 regarding a student who had been sexually assaulted Nov. 15 at Teter Quad.

IU defines rape as the nonconsensual penetration of the private body parts by an object or any body part of another person or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person. There have been 24 cases of rape reported to IUPD since Aug. 21, according to the IUPD crime log.
