A man was shot and killed Thursday night in the Crestmont neighborhood, according to the Bloomington Police Department’s daily summary.
Police responded to a report around 10:28 p.m. of shots fired, and found Brian Thacker, 48, with a gunshot wound. They applied lifesaving measures and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
BPD handcuffed and took a suspect to its police station. At the scene, they took in the gun believed to be used in the shooting and spent shell casings.
Police did not release any additional information.
