news filler.jpg

Bloomington Transit buses won’t operate Monday, the agency announced. BT buses and BTaccess vehicles were off the roads by 5 p.m. Sunday due to the snowstorm.

More information on the routes for Monday will be released Sunday evening. Monroe County and much of Indiana are under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Monday. A travel advisory is in place as well for the county.

BT is offering Uber vouchers for routes 6, 9 and 11, and Lyft vouchers for routes 6 and 9, eligible for the rest of Sunday.

Around 1 to 3 more inches of snow are expected locally, according to the latest National Weather Service update. Roads are likely slick, according to the NWS, and a combination of wind and snow could fell some trees. Sporadic power outages are possible.
