Dave & Busters is set to open a new location in College Mall on Monday. This will be the restaurant and entertainment company’s third location in Indiana in addition to locations in Indianapolis and Greenwood.
The restaurant side of the business offers a variety of options including burgers, flatbreads and wings. The menu also includes alcoholic beverages from beers and seltzers to Dave & Buster’s signature cocktails.
Dave & Buster’s has arcade games, ping pong, air hockey, billiards and virtual reality options, according to its website. Other entertainment options include a bar-like atmosphere to watch sporting events such as football, basketball and UFC. It offers $19.99 combo meals with an entree, beverage and a $10 game pass.
To promote the grand opening, Dave & Buster’s staged a Find the Flag challenge. Five flags were hidden around the Bloomington community throughout the month leading up to the grand opening. Bloomington community members have located all five flags at various locations including Memorial Stadium, Switchyard Park, B-line trail plaza, Dave & Buster’s and College Mall, according to Dave & Buster’s website and the winner's social media posts.
Cara Eby, a 21-year-old Bloomington resident was one person who located a flag. Upon finding the flag, Dave & Buster’s invited her, along with four guests of her choice, to a VIP event and awarded her a $100 gift card. Eby said she and her wife used to have to travel to Indianapolis to go to Dave & Buster’s, so they are excited about the closer location.
This Dave & Buster’s is filling the former location of Bed, Bath, and Beyond at 731 S. College Mall Road. According to a statement from the company, the hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
