Indiana men’s soccer announced the addition of four mid-season acquisitions of its spring season, per an Indiana Athletics release Wednesday.
Although it was already announced via his Instagram on Dec. 7, junior forward Palmer Ault officially joined Indiana ahead of the spring season. A native of Noblesville, Indiana, Ault played three seasons at Butler University, scoring 21 goals and assisting 12 times.
"Palmer is a proven goal scorer who can play several roles in our attack," Indiana head coach Todd Yeagley said in the release. "He will provide an immediate impact this fall."
Ault’s freshman campaign culminated with Big East Freshman of the Year honors as well as placement on the All-Big East First Team. He was selected to the All-Big East second teams in the following two seasons.
Along with Ault, two midfielders joined the Hoosiers –– junior Cristiano Bruletti from Michigan State and redshirt freshman Jacopo Fedrizzi from the University of Evansville.
Bruletti started 14 of his 15 appearances in 2023 and all 17 matches in 2024 for the Spartans. The Commerce Township, Michigan, native began his collegiate career with the University of South Carolina, where he played in 17 games with 13 starts.
"Cristiano brings a lot of college experience and maturity to our midfield, and he makes the players around him better," Yeagley said. "He has the technical ability to connect through the lines while also bringing a toughness and edge to our midfield."
Fedrizzi started 20 of his 21 appearances in 2024 for the Purple Aces, scoring four goals and contributing a team-high four assists. The Giulia, Italy, native’s efforts earned him selections to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team and second-team All-MVC.
"Jacopo is an intelligent and excellent passer who is great in combination play," Yeagley said. “We anticipate Jacopo to be a key piece to our attack over the next three seasons."
Rounding out Indiana’s additions, forward Owen Sloan marked the first member of the Hoosiers’ 2025 freshman class. Sloan played for the Chicago Fire Academy from U17-U19 and FC United from U15-U16, scoring 44 goals and 20 assists across both clubs.
"Owen is a versatile and athletic attacking player that has a great engine and a knack for creating problems for opposing defenses," Yeagley said. "We also feel Owen could develop into an excellent attacking wide back during his time at IU."
The four new additions help fill the gaps left by the 14 departures from the program following the 2024 season.
