PRESS RELEASE: Public Meeting on Future Police Headquarters Rescheduled Due to Weather

The following is a press release written by Desiree DeMolina for the City of Bloomington.

Bloomington, Ind. – The public meeting to discuss considerations for the future Bloomington Police Department (BPD) headquarters, initially scheduled for Tuesday, January 7, has been canceled due to inclement weather and rescheduled for Monday, January 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The rescheduled meeting will be held at the Bloomington Police Department, 220 E. 3rd Street. The session will include:

  • A presentation by Mayor Kerry Thomson on the guiding principles and factors shaping site considerations.
  • A discussion led by Chris Ciolli, Project Executive with Weddle Bros. Construction Companies, on potential opportunities for the project.
  • Updates on the public safety bond funding improvements for BPD and the community.

The meeting will be broadcast live on Community Access Television Services (CATS) and available for on-demand viewing at catstv.net.
