Three sexual assaults were reported to the IU Police Department between Dec. 19 and Jan 2.
According to an email from IUPD Public Information Officer Hannah Skibba, IUPD received a report from the Title IX Office on Jan. 2 regarding a sexual assault that took place Dec. 14 at McNutt Quad. The case was not reported by the individual involved and has been referred to university officials.
In a case also reported on Jan. 2, IU Health Bloomington Hospital informed IUPD of a sexual assault that occurred on Dec. 22. Details of the case were not provided to IUPD due to privacy requirements.
Another sexual assault was reported on Dec. 19. Officers met with an individual who reported being sexually assaulted on Aug. 22, 2024. Skibba said the individual did not wish to pursue criminal charges.
