Another salvo of snow will fall on Bloomington on Friday, coming after the winter storm earlier this week that pelted much of Indiana and left nearly 10 inches of snow locally.
Much of that snow hasn’t melted yet. Some sidewalks and roads are still covered. The National Weather Service forecasts a volley of up to 2 to 4 inches. Monroe County is under a winter weather advisory from 4 a.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.
Winds will be less severe than the previous storm, around 6 mph in the morning and remaining calm throughout the day. The high is expected at around 28 degrees Friday and won’t reach above freezing until Sunday.
The NWS predicts more light snow is possible Sunday night. Updates will be posted regularly on the Monroe County Emergency Management Facebook page. You can find more resources here.
