The Indiana men’s and women’s basketball teams will no longer wear the Fear of God uniforms they previously unveiled Wednesday.
“Indiana men’s and women’s basketball programs will not be wearing the Fear of God uniform design in any upcoming games,” an Indiana Athletics spokesperson told the Indiana Daily Student on Thursday. “IU will continue to proudly wear Adidas apparel, including our traditional basketball uniforms.”
The same Indiana Athletics spokesperson declined to comment on the reasoning behind the uniforms not being worn.
The women’s team was slated to wear the cream uniforms against No. 8 Ohio State on Thursday, while the men’s program planned to don them against Penn State on Feb. 26.
Both programs wore dark Fear of God uniforms last season in one game apiece. However, it appears the collaboration is over for the time being.
