Former Indiana women’s basketball guard Grace Berger, who was waived by the WNBA’s Indiana Fever on Feb. 2, has landed with another squad.
The Minnesota Lynx claimed Berger off waivers Friday.
The Lynx, who are coming off a 30-10 regular season, currently have just three guards on their roster: Natisha Hiedeman, Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams. Minnesota reached the WNBA Finals last season but fell to the New York Liberty in five games.
Berger spent two seasons with the Fever, playing in 47 total games and averaging 13.3 minutes per contest. After being selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, the Louisville, Kentucky, native played in 36 of the Fever’s 40 games.
However, in Berger’s second season in Indianapolis, she played in just 11 games.
Berger, who played for Indiana women’s basketball from 2018-23, will now join the Lynx for training camp, which is slated to start April 27 before the regular season begins May 16.
