Indiana football notched numerous firsts in its 2024 season en route to an 11-2 record that was bookended by a trip to the College Football Playoff.

Sixth-year senior quarterback Kurtis Rourke and senior defensive lineman CJ West each played significant roles in the Hoosiers’ success. Each of the former Hoosiers were invited to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, according to a NFL.com release Thursday.

After the season, the Indianapolis Star reported Jan. 3 that Rourke played the entirety of the season on a partially torn ACL. The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported earlier that same day Rourke’s ACL was fully torn.

Octagon’s Casey Muir, who is Rourke’s agent, said Friday he is unsure whether the 6-foot-5 quarterback will be able to participate at the combine as he underwent surgery in January.

Rourke, who transferred to Bloomington from Ohio University in December 2023, put together perhaps the most prolific season by an Indiana quarterback. The Oakville, Ontario, Canada, native set the Hoosiers’ single season record for passing touchdowns with 29.

Rourke also threw for 3,042 yards passing, becoming just the fifth Indiana quarterback to accumulate over 3,000. In the Hoosiers’ 17-point victory over Northwestern on Oct. 5, Rourke notched 380 yards passing and three touchdowns through the air. He completed 75% of his passes against the Wildcat and finished the game with a 202.5 quarterback rating in arguably his best performance of the season.

In Indiana’s dominant 66-0 victory to reclaim the Old Oaken Bucket against Purdue on Nov. 30, Rourke threw for 349 yards passing and six touchdowns, which tied him with the program record for the most in a single game.

West, who spent four seasons at Kent State University before transferring to Indiana in May 2024, racked up 7.5 tackles for loss in his lone season as a Hoosier. He also notched 42 total tackles across 13 games.

The combine runs from Feb. 27 to March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Indiana hasn’t had a player selected in the past two NFL drafts, but West and Rourke will look to change that come April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
