The IU Police Department responded Wednesday to a report concerning an “unmanned aircraft” flying at Eigenmann Hall, according to patrol officer Julia Nowak.

The aircraft, a drone, was reported to have been “looking through windows.”

When IUPD arrived at the scene, the drone and its operator were gone.

Indiana Code defines aerial voyeurism as operating a drone or other aerial vehicle to enter a space above or around another person’s occupied dwelling for the purpose of capturing images, photographs, video recordings or audio recordings. It is a Class A misdemeanor.

IUPD has no suspects at this time.

Those with information on this case can reach out to IUPD via the contact information on its website.
