Fifteen addresses on South High Street and East Hillside Drive are under a precautionary boil water advisory due to scheduled maintenance from 10:30 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, according to a press release Wednesday.
The City of Bloomington issued the boil water advisory for:
- 1321 S. High St.
- 1329 S. High St.
- 1415 S. High St.
- 1417 S. High St.
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 1
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 2
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 3
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 4
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 5
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 6
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 7
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 8
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 9
- 2001 E. Hillside Dr. Building 10
- 2012 E. Hillside Dr.
Under a boil advisory, all water used for drinking, cooking and oral hygiene should be boiled for at least two minutes before use, according to Bloomington’s utilities website.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management requires public water systems to issue a boil water advisory when the water main pressure drops below 20 psi.
After normal water pressure is restored, the city recommends running cold water from the faucet until the water is clear.
