The IU Police Department told the Indiana Daily Student on March 31 that a drone involved in an alleged case of aerial voyeurism earlier last month belonged to the University Communications and Marketing department.
IUPD previously received a report of an unmanned aircraft flying near Eigenmann Hall, “looking through windows” March 26. The drone and its operator were gone when IUPD arrived on the scene.
Patrol Officer Julia Nowak said in an email to this IDS that an IU employee told IUPD on March 29 that their drone was flying near Eigenmann Hall at the time of the reported aerial voyeurism.
“The IU Visuals drone team collaborated with Student Life to film a video highlighting a student project at Eigenmann Hall,” Nowak wrote. “This case is now closed.”
