Indiana men’s soccer kicks off its 2025 season with a contest against Clemson University, according to an Indiana Athletics release Wednesday. The match will take place Aug. 21 at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington.
The Hoosiers hold a 6-5-1 overall record over the Tigers, with the most recent matchup in the 2022 season opener. Then-No. 1 Clemson defeated then-No. 8 Indiana 3-2, the first game of the Cream and Crimson’s national championship runner-up season.
Indiana enters the 2025 season following back-to-back Big Ten regular season titles, as well as 10-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. After reaching the tournament as the No. 14 seed, the Hoosiers fell to Denver University 1-0 in the Sweet 16.
Clemson finished second in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2024 and reached the conference tournament final. As the No. 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Tigers defeated Providence College in the second round but fell to No. 8-seeded Wake Forest University in the Sweet 16.
Indiana and Clemson are two of the most successful programs in men’s college soccer, combining for 32 College Cups and 86 NCAA Tournament appearances. The Hoosiers have won eight national championships, second only to Saint Louis University, while the Tigers have won four, most recently in 2023.
Indiana’s full schedule will be released April 30.
