The following is a press release written by Kristy Taylor for the Monroe County Humane Association.

Bloomington, IN—On Friday, May 2, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., Monroe County Humane Association will host its 17th annual Tails on the Town at Woolery Mill, 2250 W. Sunstone Dr., Bloomington, IN. This signature fundraising event brings together animal lovers, community members, and local businesses for a high-energy evening with a heartfelt purpose: to support pets and the people who love them—especially in times of crisis.
Guests will enjoy a night of delicious eats, sweet treats, cocktails and mocktails, and carnival-style games—including several exciting new and returning favorites to enjoy a fun time and win some great prizes. The evening also features live and silent auctions, raffle prizes, and dancing to live music by Jayne Bond & the Pink Martinis. Every guest will receive a complimentary signature cocktail provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and 10 game tickets. Additional game and raffle tickets will be available for purchase onsite.
The evening’s “Fund a Need” focus will support MCHA’s Crisis Housing Program, which provides free, temporary shelter for pets when their owners face emergencies such as domestic violence, hospitalization, addiction recovery, eviction, or natural disasters. The program is the only one of its kind in South Central Indiana—and one of only a few nationwide.
“When life unravels, no one should have to choose between their own safety and the animal they love,” said Andrew Krebbs, Executive Director. “Too often, people delay getting the help they need because they have nowhere safe for their pet—and that delay can make the crisis even worse. Our Crisis Housing Program removes that barrier.”
In 2024, the program provided over 1,450 days of care, keeping hundreds of animals out of shelters and safely housed until their families could be reunited. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, every dollar raised—up to $20,000—will be matched, doubling the impact of each donation. Just $25 covers a full day of care, including food, shelter, vaccinations, medical treatment, and more.
Tickets are $75 per person, and can be purchased at monroehumane.org/tott. Each ticket includes one Tito’s Handmade Vodka drink coupon and 10 game tickets. Guests are encouraged to purchase early as the event is expected to sell out.
Monroe County Humane Association extends special thanks to its 2025 generous sponsors: Bailey Weiler, One World Catering, One World at Woolery Mill, Baird Trust, Bomba Stallsmith Rabadi Group–Baird Private Wealth Management, Balloons Over Bloomington, Duke Energy, German American Bank, Hurlow Wealth Management Group, Indiana Oxygen, Andrew Krebbs, Mannered Mutts Training, Oliver Winery, Scout’s Honor, Smithville, The Dog House, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, TJV Balloons, WS Property Group & C3, Bloom Magazine, BloomingPaws, City of Bloomington – Office of the Mayor, IU Credit Union, Mallow Run Winery, Needmore Coffee Roasters, Secretly Distribution, Slotegraaf Niehoff PC, A.J.
