The IU women finished Friday in 3rd place with 10 points, while the men finished tied for 6th with 8 points. IU scored in every event of the day.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Thrower Faith Sherrill took 4th in the hammer throw, with a throw of 55.10m. It was the second-best throw of her career.
- Also in the hammer throw, Kristen Ness took 6th, posting 2 consecutive career bests in the event finals.
- In the men's hammer throw, Daniel Novia finished 8th, with a throw of 57.67m
- Jeff Coover finished 4th in the pole vault, clearing 5.10m.
- Wendi Robinson finished the 10,000m race in 34:58.00 in 7th place
- In the mens 10,000m, Zach Mayhew also finished in 7th with a time of 29:26.01
