Geshe Kunga meditates in the Chamtse Ling Temple. Since there was no monastery in his village, Geshe Kunga traveled to the the monastery Ku-bhum. He was not allowed to become a monk until he was 18 years old, though. Since he was 17 when he first arrived, Geshe Kunga worked at the monastery and assisted the monks until he came of age.
