The Colosseum in Rome, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy, stands over 160 feet high, has 80 entrances and can hold over 50,000 spectators. The original name of this ancient Roman sports arena, the largest arena of its kind, was The Amphitheatrum Flavium.
