Bill Talen, also known as "Reverend Billy," left, sings with the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir in Union Square in New York Monday to protest his arrest there Friday evening while reciting the First Amendment. Police say Talen hassled officers by following them while shouting through a bullhorn. Officers repeatedly asked Talen to stop before arresting him on harassment and disorderly conduct charges, according to police. Talen is calling for the charges to be dropped.
