INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana women’s basketball entered the Big Ten Tournament coming off a dominant victory over in-state rival Purdue on Sunday.
If posting fire content was all it took to blow up online, half the influencers out there would already be viral. But here's the reality - the algorithm doesn't care how talented you are if nobody sees your content in the first place. Growth today isn't just about quality; it's about momentum. From improv to sketch to stand up, there are many opportunities for people looking to get into comedy in Bloomington. Local comedians said these low stakes events are a great way for new talent to get into comedy.
The only weather truly suited for a screening of "Nosferatu" is a torrential downpour. The darkness and wet streets created the perfect mood for the vampire film classic. During the first scene of each season of “The White Lotus,” we learn two things: someone is dead and someone in the cast is the killer. In typical murder mystery fashion, we don’t know what happens until the very end. In the latest season, we hear gunshots and see a body floating in the water. It is an insane way to start a show, but hooks everyone in.
Senior Riah Washington used to think she wanted to work on the business side of fashion; that was until she modeled for the IU fashion show her freshman year and realized she wanted to join the creative side. Sophomore Hannah Shepherd started college as a biology major, but discovered her passion lay in merchandising. Now, the two work together as IU’s Depop Student Ambassadors.
Senior forward Luke Goode approached a referee, who stood on the sideline opposite of Indiana men’s basketball’s bench. After a moment of hesitation, Goode outstretched his right arm and swiped it away in disapproval, summing up a game-long frustration the Hoosiers had with the multitude of foul calls.
There was quiet chatter in Buskirk-Chumley Theatre. Most of the seats on both levels of the theatre were filled. The stage was littered with chairs and instruments, both waiting for their companions. IU’s Latin Jazz Ensemble came onstage to start the show, appropriately titled “Jazz at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre,” at 7:30 p.m.
Netflix has just tried its hand at another political thriller with its new limited series, “Zero Day.” Despite its star-studded cast and intriguing premise, the show fails at every turn.

Indiana Republicans’ proposed state budget does not include the College Success Program grant, set to continue through the end of this year. However, not much will physically change for those impacted by the grant at IU.
The 97th Academy Awards, held Sunday to honor films released in 2024, was a fairly unremarkable, quiet ceremony. Compared to the past few years, one would be forgiven if they called it unexciting. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems this awards cycle has been a bit of a slower one, and the event itself reflected that. It wasn’t bad, of course — I actually quite enjoyed the show, I was, for the most part, happy with the winners.
Fifth-year senior guard Trey Galloway strolled back toward Indiana men’s basketball’s huddle, high fiving his teammates with a subtle confidence after giving the Hoosiers a 64-63 lead over Oregon with just under two minutes remaining.
