‘Jekyll and Hyde’ brought to life by the Monroe County Civic Theater

·

Tuesday night, the Monroe County Civic Theater’s production of “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” premiered at The Cinemat, 123 S. The first time I heard those enchanting lyrics, “Watch me crank dat Soulja Boy, then Superman dat ho,” I was drawn to an obvious conclusion that a lot of us see about modern rap – that it is self-righteous, nihilistic and misogynistic. There are millions of types of jeans in the world. Skinny, boot cut, wide leg, dark wash, low rise, high waist – what is a girl to do? Finding a pair of trendy jeans in the right cut and wash is nearly impossible. This season though, straying away from their normal strictly one-cut-of-jean idea, designers have chosen two very different cuts for us, the general public, to choose from.
