As a junior in high school, David Williams’, a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, future seemed set after committing to play men’s basketball for IU coach Tom Crean on April 22.
It was just a preseason scrimmage, but freshman guard Maurice Creek was pressing. You could see him trying a little too hard. He took shots that weren’t really open and forced passes that weren’t really there.
In their final exhibition game, the Hoosiers dominated their opponent like fans expected them to do. IU defeated St. Joseph’s (Ind.) 95-67 at Assembly Hall and finished the preseason 2-0.
