Vonleh to enter NBA Draft

Noah Vonleh, who will be 19 years old in August, announced he will forgo his final three years of eligibility and pursue a career in the NBA.

Sheehey invited to play at College All-Star game

Senior Will Sheehey will represent IU in the Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game on Friday as a member of the East Squad. He will join 20 other Division I seniors to play as a part of Final Four weekend festivities.

Hartman tears ACL

Freshman forward Collin Hartman is out indefinitely after injuring his right knee during a workout Saturday, according to a university release.

Hoosiers lose, look toward next season

IU traded scoring runs throughout Thursday’s 64-54 loss to Illinois, but the Illini had the final say when they closed the game on an 11-2 run. Despite the loss, IU players are already looking forward to the possibilities of next season.

Heading into halftime, the IU men’s basketball teams trails Illinois 30-28. Senior wing Will Sheehey leads all scorers with 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field.

IU squeaks by the Illini, and moves onto play Michigan on Friday. It won’t be pretty, but Illinois’ offense isn’t good enough to score enough points on the Hoosiers. Although IU might have 20-plus turnovers, Hoosier Nation will celebrate in Indianapolis.

Junior guard Rayvonte Rice has scored 49 points during two games against the Hoosiers this season. Rice scored 20 points during his team’s 56-46 loss to IU on Jan. 26.

Vonleh, Ferrell win Big Ten honors

Noah Vonleh was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year for the 2013-14 season, the conference announced Monday. Sophomore guard Kevin 'Yogi' Ferrell was named second team All-Big Ten in the awards.
