The IDS was named top advertising publication of the year and Arbutus named yearbook of the year.
Cloteaux has been on the IDS staff for four semesters and is currently a managing editor.
IDS receives dozens of awards for excellence from ICPA and College Media Business & Advertising Managers.
Caleb Coffman won the sports category this year for his story The General’s Shadow: How author John Feinstein survived a year with Bob Knight.
Students Emily Isaacman, Caleb Coffman and Lilly St. Angelo placed in the contest.
Emily Isaacman was selected as the ICPA Brook Baker Collegiate Journalist of the Year.
The awards include a first place finish for Matt Cohen’s “IU’s great big COVID-19 experiment.”
The honors included the Online and Newspaper Pacemaker awards, two of the most prestigious awards in collegiate journalism.
The winners of the awards will be announced this week at the Fall National Media Convention.
Anders placed second in last year’s championship.
Junior Caroline Anders placed fourth.
The awards included first place in Division I Newspaper of the Year.
The newspaper also won six College Media Association Apple Awards.
The awards included a first-place finish for the team’s LiveInBtown campaign.
Junior Claire Livingston won the award for her Little 500 photo.
