Campillo finishes in tie for 2nd at NCAA Championships

On the 10th hole in the final round of the NCAA Golf Championships, junior Jorge Campillo sliced his second shot left, landing it only two inches from the water hazard. With only one option, he took off his shoes and socks and hit his next shot with his feet in the water.

2 Hoosiers qualify to compete at NCAA Championships

In the indoor track and field season, IU sent three athletes to the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. This weekend, the Hoosiers went back to Fayetteville with the possibility of sending as many as six athletes to compete in NCAA Outdoor Championships in two weeks.

Georgetown guard set to transfer to IU

Statistics be damned. Jeremiah Rivers, a 6-foot-4-inch, 205-lb. guard from Winter Park, Fla., may have put up less than impressive numbers in his two seasons as a Georgetown Hoya, but he isn’t worried about the doubters who might have questioned IU coach Tom Crean’s decision to extend him a scholarship offer.

With the 2007-2008 IU athletics season nearing completion, two IU student athletes received the Big Ten’s Medal of Honor, rewarding achievement in athletics as well as in the classroom.

Brandon McGee dismissed from team

IU coach Tom Crean has dismissed Brandon McGee from the men's basketball team. The sophomore guard averaged 1.5 points and 1.0 rebounds in 17 games as freshman last season.  BLOG:  Basketblog
