Sigma Alpha Mu, Teter women take Little 500 poles

On what seemed like a wintry day, Little 500 riders heated up on the track for qualifications. Sigma Alpha Mu won the pole for the men’s race and Teter won the pole for the woman’s race.

Poor shooting, sloppy defense and foul problems hampered the Hoosiers in their first-round game of the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas crushed the IU men’s basketball team Friday night 86-72, as the Hoosiers’ journey for a national championship lasted all of two hours.  BLOG:  Basketblog

Team drops 9th game in last 11, loses both games in shortened invitational

The IU softball team could not sustain the momentum it gained after its 1-0 shutout win over Drake on Thursday as the Hoosiers (6-19) lost Friday afternoon to Louisville and the University of Illinois-Chicago. The Hoosiers were supposed to host the IU Classic this weekend, but because of weather, all of Saturday’s games were canceled.

IU surges to 4th straight win

IU freshman right fielder Kipp Schutz’s monstrous two-run home run yesterday in a snowy fifth inning secured going to weekend sweep for the IU baseball team (9-7) against IU-Purdue University Fort Wayne (2-13-1).

IU fights wind, rain to beat Louisville in home opener

Coming back from a successful spring break, IU’s rowing team competed against the No. 20 Louisville Cardinals at Lake Lemon Saturday. With the wind and rain pushing the rowers to their limits, IU placed second in the varsity eight race, which is considered the most prestigious, but won the varsity four.

RALEIGH, N.C. – For the past month, IU interim men’s basketball coach Dan Dakich has said he’s just too busy to think about the situation that has engulfed his alma mater.

James Madison knocks Hoosiers out of WNIT

A season marked by youth and inconsistency came to an end for the IU women’s basketball team Saturday night at the hands of visiting James Madison. More specifically, the Hoosiers were derailed by two guards, senior Tamera Young and freshman Dawn Evans, who combined for 68 points in the Dukes’ 86-81 overtime win at Assembly Hall.

James Madison defeats IU women 86-81 in first round of WNIT

IU put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough. In the end, James Madison's Dawn Evans and Tamera Young completely took over the game scoring 68 of the team’s 86 points as James Madison held off IU for a 86-81 overtime win in the first round of the WNIT.  BLOG:  Above The Rim

For the IU men’s basketball team, the time is now. The No. 15 women’s water polo team (10-11) will face No. 16 Hartwick (11-7) in its first home game this season. Coming off of a three-game losing streak, a so-called “home field advantage” could be exactly what the Hoosiers need.
