Fencing club prepares for tournament

The average student at IU has limited knowledge about the ancient sport of fencing. While it has been a pastime for centuries in countries like France and Russia, the same level of mainstream interest in fencing has never quite materialized in the U.S.

Badgers face Hoosiers on the bubble in key Big Ten match

Entering the critical back stretch of its season, the IU women’s basketball team will travel to Wisconsin today looking to sweep the Badgers for the first time since 2003. The Hoosiers (15-11, 8-6) currently reside at the edge of the bubble for the NCAA Tournament, and wins in all four remaining games would be a big step toward getting into the field.

D.J. White leaves game Saturday with knee injury

Talk about adding injury to insult. Just a few days after the NCAA released a list of five major recruiting violations IU coach Kelvin Sampson and staff allegedly committed, senior forward D.J. Decision on Sampson’s fate will be made Friday

IU Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan has four more days to investigate new allegations of recruiting violations by IU men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson and staff and, ultimately, determine whether Sampson will remain IU’s coach. IU President Michael McRobbie announced the start of a seven-day investigation at a press conference Friday.  BLOG:  Basketblog
