Hoosiers return home to beat No. 21 Kentucky

·

What a difference a few hundred miles make. The IU women’s tennis team spent last weekend in North Carolina, where the weather was comparatively balmy and everything happened according to schedule. Though very competitive, the Hoosiers weren’t able to upset either No. 11 Duke or No. 7 North Carolina.

Hoosiers not phased by schedule change

·

Facing No. 61 DePaul without junior Thomas Richter and with senior David Bubenicek nursing an injured wrist was not going to be an easy task for the IU men's tennis team. If the No. 63 Hoosiers did not come ready to play, they very well could have seen an 'L.'

Attack at the Mack

The road isn't very kind to the IU men's basketball team. It hasn't been before -- the Hoosiers are 2-6 away from Assembly Hall this season -- and it certainly won't be Thursday. IU will travel through the ice and snow up to West Lafayette to battle in-state rival Purdue at 7 p.m. tonight. The Hoosiers' road ahead could provide their most crucial challenge. Tuesday afternoon, IU coach Kelvin Sampson stressed the importance of the team's remaining schedule this season, but also said the Hoosiers can't overlook the importance of their tilt with Purdue.
