Kyle Busch makes history at the Brickyard 400

Skittles were spread on the famous brick finish of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The skittles on the bricks could only mean one thing – Kyle Busch was the Brickyard 400 champion for the second straight year. It was a historic afternoon for Busch as he dominated the rest of the field on the way to leading 149 laps, the most in the race’s history.

















Sophomore Blake Pieroni leads IU in a cheer before the start of the Big Ten Championship meet Saturday evening at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Pieroni went on to win the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 42.27, followed closely by junior Anza Tavcar and sophomore Ali Khalafalla who both placed second and third, respectfully.

Blake Pieroni named to Team USA

It took forty years for the Hoosiers to have a swimmer be named to Team USA. That all changed within the span of a few days as three Hoosiers earned spots on Team USA after their performances at the Olympics Trials in Omaha, Neb.
