Sophomore guard Kevin “Yogi” Ferrell had a game-high 25 points, 19 of which came in the second half.But it was freshman guard Stanford Robinson who provided the Hoosiers with a relentless offensive approach to attacking the rim.

The Hoosiers began their spring season in Orlando, Fla., this weekend at the UCF Invitational. While the invitational does not technically keep track of team scores, the head-to-head environment will prepare the Hoosiers for what they may see in Big Ten play.

IU alumnus Greg Heban arrived in Bloomington in 2009 as a pitcher for the Hoosier baseball team. Four-and-a-half years later, he is at Fit Speed Athletic Performance in Weston, Fla., to train for the 2014 NFL Draft alongside Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall and former All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson.

IU limits Frazier en route to Big Ten win

IU (11-5, 1-2) held Penn State’s (9-8, 0-4) leading scorer, Tim Frazier, to 10 points on 2-of-7 shooting from the field. Going into Saturday’s game, the graduate student guard was averaging 17.1 points per game, and he had scored 20 points in his previous game against Minnesota.

Penn State leads IU at halftime
