IU Coach Tom Crean said Tuesday night’s battle with LIU Brooklyn, a No. 16 seed in last year’s NCAA Tournament, wasn’t a game where “we get on a yellow school bus and we’re supposed to win by 30 ‘cause it’s us.”

Women's basketball defeats IPFW 85-80

The first road game of the season proved to be a challenging one for the Hoosiers, but IU escaped with an 85-80 victory over the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Mastadons.

IU escapes LIU-Brooklyn 73-72

After a woeful shooting start in the first half – just 11-for-40 from the field – the IU men’s basketball team managed a charge in the second half, led by the reformed 3-point shooting of senior forward Will Sheehey to narrowly escape with a 73-72 win over LIU Brooklyn at Assembly Hall.

Vonleh named Freshman of the Week

IU men’s basketball freshman forward Noah Vonleh was named the first 2013-14 Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday after his debut double-double against Chicago State Friday.
