For the first time since 2007, IU will take the field for the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at 5:30 p.m. in Champaign, Ill., against tournament host Illinois tonight.

As the Big Ten Championship against No. 12 Michigan approaches at 2 p.m. this Saturday at Moose Grounds Field in Elkhart, Ind., the IU men’s rugby team is not letting its No. 9 rank get to its head.

Davis, Robinson make first appearance in game

During the game, Robinson, making his first game appearance at Assembly Hall, was fouled when he had an open path to the basket on a fast break. He said before the foul he had big plans for what he thought would be his first-ever dunk in an IU uniform.

Field hockey loses regular season finale

After winning a set of matches last weekend, the IU field hockey team traveled to Michigan for its final regular season game. The Hoosiers didn’t get the result they were looking for, falling to the Wolverines 4-3.

As the Hoosiers began to get into a rhythm on defense, the Chargers lost steam in a hurry, scoring 15 points in the second half to fall to the Hoosiers 79-39 Monday night at Assembly Hall.

Junior Taylor Walsh, the No. 9 wrestler in the country at 157 pounds, opened IU’s 2013-14 wrestling season with a first-place finish at the Clarion Open on Sunday in Clarion, Pa.

IU wins final exhibition 79-39

After a slow start, the IU men’s basketball team found strength from behind the arc to distance itself from the Hillsdale College Chargers for a 79-39 victory at Assembly Hall in the Hoosiers’ final exhibition test of the season.
