Chelminiak, Sharp win Miss-N-Out titles

After losing last season’s Miss-N-Out to Eric Young, Phi Delta Theta senior rider Steven Sharp is back on top of the Little 500 Spring Series, and in only her second year riding, Kappa Alpha Theta rider Kathleen Chelminiak is already making her name well known amongst the Little 500 elite.

IU drops nail-biter to Louisville

Another year, same result. The recent trend of tough losses to Louisville continued Wednesday as No. 23 Indiana (14-5) fell to the No. 45 Cardinals (13-8), 4-3. The Cardinals have now won at IU by the same score the past three times, dating back to 2008.

Trio of Hoosiers collects Big Ten awards

The awards keep rolling in for IU track and field athletes. Junior Emma Kimoto and seniors De’Sean Turner and Breanne Ehrman have been named Big Ten Athletes of the Week, per an announcement from the Big Ten Conference.

Farrell qualifies for 2012 Summer Olympics

Senior Margaux Farrell qualified for the 4X200 freestyle relay team at the French National Championships this past week in Dunkerque, France. Farrell’s journey to the Olympics has been a balance between academics and her sport.
