IU baseball team to begin Big Ten play against Penn State

IU’s 11-5 win Wednesday against Eastern Kentucky gave them their fourth win in six games. Their stop at Sembower Field was brief, as the team took a bus to State College, Pa. to open Big Ten play this weekend with a three-game series at Penn State.

IU soccer begins spring season with key personnel losses

As the Hoosiers travel to Springfield, Ill., on Saturday to begin their spring slate of games, taking on the Saint Louis Billikens, sophomore Nikita Kotlov, freshman Eriq Zavaleta, and the rest of their teammates will begin to rebuild a team still recovering from a loss of leadership and offensive production.

Swimmers,divers aim to make a splash at NCAAs

Coming off last season’s 18th-place finish at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, led by then-sophomore Eric Ress’ two runner-up finishes in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, the IU men’s swimming and diving team will have to look elsewhere this year to earn points.

Hoosiers cruise in 1st game at Sembower

Behind sophomore third baseman Dustin DeMuth’s four hits, three RBI and three runs, the IU baseball team exploded for 11 runs in the first six innings to win its home opener against Eastern Kentucky, 11-5.

Despite surrendering early unearned runs, freshman left fielder Chris Sujka and junior short stop Michael Basil combined for four hits, a home run, three RBIs and three runs to rally the IU baseball team past Eastern Kentucky, 6-4.
