Column: Scouting the Wildcats

·

I have a better chance of landing a date with a Third Street sorority girl than Northwestern does of winning this game. The ninth-place Wildcats continue their descent into the Big Ten’s basement and another likely absence at the NCAA Tournament as they roll into Bloomington.

Column: Hoosier Valentine

·

Due to a five-goal performance in the final stanza, however, the Hoosiers defeated the Terrapins and claimed fifth place in the tournament in La Jolla, Calif., with an 11-10 victory.

·

Home runs were not a rare sight in this weekend’s opening tournament for the Hoosiers. Sophomore Jenna Abraham’s two home runs Friday and junior Amanda Wagner’s two home runs Saturday helped lead the Hoosier softball team to split its four opening weekend games.
