Women's tennis to play No. 28 Vanderbilt in NCAA Regional

The women’s tennis team will open up NCAA regional tournament play against No. 28 Vanderbilt (13-9) on Friday, May 14. The No. 41 Hoosiers (15-9) are the third seed in the Tennessee Regional, while their opponent holds the number two seed. The winner of this match will move onto to play the winner of the No. 14 Tennessee (16-8) and No. 66 Winthrop (16-8) match.

IU loses 2 of 3 in dramatic Purdue series

A variety of weather conditions — including a near rainout in the series finale – couldn’t slow the offense from either side of the baseball diamond this weekend at Sembower Field.

When crossing the finish line, the 188 runners in the Coach Hep Indiana Cancer Challenge were greeted by eight women cheering them on with silver pom-poms in their hands and red shoelaces in their hair.

Hoosiers beat Spartans, prepare for Michigan

Bring on Michigan – again.           The No. 44 Hoosiers will play the three-seeded Wolverines for the second time in six days after taking care of No. 11 seed Michigan State 4-0 in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday.

The Hoosiers needed someone to step up and lead the team this year. Luckily for them, senior outfielder Jennifer Glueckert has become the person they were looking for.

Hoosiers ready for battle with Boilermakers

The Hoosiers play host to Purdue (24-16) heading into the fifth weekend of conference play with a 20-19 overall record. The Boilermakers are red-hot, winning eight of their last 10. IU, on the other hand, has lost four of its last five.

The first game of the IU softball team’s doubleheader against No. 19 Illinois was a close loss, but the Fighting Illini’s powerful hitting crushed the Hoosiers in the second contest.

Sycamores trounce IU pitching

A rough day for most of IU’s mid-week pitchers and a sluggish offensive performance contributed to a blowout loss for IU baseball at the hands of an in-state foe and left the Hoosiers’  head coach displeased with the current competitiveness of his squad.
