IU hopes win streak will grow at Iowa

Heading into this weekend’s series against the Iowa Hawkeyes, the IU softball team is coming off of a doubleheader win against Ball State.

IU (18-20, 8-3) travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., on Friday for the beginning of a three-game series against the Wolverines (22-17, 5-7).

Army Women look to prove doubters wrong

Originally a team of ROTC women, Army Women had five riders in the top 40 of Individual Time Trials and two in the Miss ’N Out semifinals as well as placing sixth in Team Pursuit.

On Saturday, Phi Delta Theta will try to be the first team to win the Little 500 from the pole position since Dodds House in 1998. No team from the front row has won since 2000.

IU to play Maryland in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

IU Athletics announced Wednesday the Hoosiers will welcome the Maryland Terrapins to Assembly Hall in December as part of the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Not even two home runs by junior second baseman Tyler Rogers were enough for the Hoosiers on Wednesday as they fell 7-4 to Indiana State at Sembower Field.

IU blows late lead, falls to Louisville

The IU baseball team was unable to hold onto an 8-3 lead against Louisville on Tuesday, falling 10-8 to the Cardinals. The loss was the Hoosiers' second to Louisville in the month of April.

IU takes on Ball State in two games

The Hoosiers will be seeing a familiar Ball State team at 3 and 5 p.m. today in a doubleheader at home. Unfortunately for the Hoosiers, Ball State is playing much better than it was during their last matchup March 14.

Senior makes switch to cornerback to help team

Last year, senior Ray Fisher caught passes from quarterbacks Kellen Lewis and Ben Chappell. This spring he is trying to intercept them. Fisher switched from wide receiver to cornerback to help the football team’s defense, which ranked near the bottom of the Big Ten in most defensive categories last year.
