The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions placed IU on a probationary period starting Tuesday.The
reprimand comes down after the NCAA found former men's basketball coach
Kelvin Sampson and staff made recruiting violations, to which the

released from the committee, per the probation the University must
create a "comprehensive educational program on NCAA legislation." This
includes seminars and testing to instruct all athletics department
personnel and University staff members "with responsibility for the
certification of student-athletes for admission, retention, financial
aid or competition."
