McRobbie recommends tuition increases to Board of Trustees

On Friday, May 24, IU President Michael McRobbie recommended that the University’s Board of Trustees increase tuition and fee rates for Indiana resident undergraduate students by an average of 1.75 percent each of the next two academic years, according to a press release.

2 Showalter fish damaged in theft attempts

Around 4 and 5 a.m. Sunday morning, two separate attempts were made to steal two fish from the IU Showalter Fountain. Alarms on the fish alerted the IU Police Department to the tampering, allowing them to make it to the fountain in time to stop the theft efforts.

Final waste disposal May 10-11

For the fifth straight year, Electronic Waste Collection Days will take place May 10-11 at IU Bloomington and IU South Bend. It also marks the final year of these annual days at IU.

Students provide support for low-income women

emBRAce, one of IU’s smallest philanthropy clubs, provides support for low-income women in more than one sense of the word. Members of the club collect new and gently used bras and donate them to shelters that offer services for women in need.

School of Optometry moves services

The School of Optometry is shifting its services from Community Eye Care Center to the Atwater Eye Care Center, which will become the centralized location for eye patients in that area.
