IU started the last day of competition in 11th place.

King won both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke at the NCAA Championships last week in Atlanta, Georgia, setting new NCAA and American records in both events. King was the first woman to break the 57-second barrier in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.85. She scored another NCAA and American record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:03.59.

The Championships are taking place in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Sophomore Blake Pieroni leads IU in a cheer before the start of the Big Ten Championship meet Saturday evening at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. Pieroni went on to win the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 42.27, followed closely by junior Anza Tavcar and sophomore Ali Khalafalla who both placed second and third, respectfully.

Swimmers from IU and Purdue take their mark during the womens 100 yard backstroke on Satuday. IU Sophomore backstoker Marie Chamberlain won the event with a time of 55.00 seconds. Both the men and women swept Purdue at their last home meet of the season with the men winning 187-107 and the women 185.5-114.5.
