King won both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke at the NCAA Championships last week in Atlanta, Georgia, setting new NCAA and American records in both events. King was the first woman to break the 57-second barrier in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 56.85. She scored another NCAA and American record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:03.59.
